The Master's Thesis should be written in English language, an oral defense has to be passed.
Usually, the research will be done at the Departments of Physics or Chemistry. Polymer related topics can also be supervised in other Departments at Martin-Luther-University, or outside of it (e.g. Max-Planck-Institute, Fraunhofer Insitute).
